Our Staff

Managing Director – Joey Lovejoy

Not quite your traditional route into catering, after graduating from University, with a First Class Masters Degree, he joined the Ministry of Defence. After 5 years he left to follow his passion for food, and continue the family wedding and event catering business into its third generation.

He originally joined his Uncle, Head Chef William Rose, and trained as a chef but, but due to expansion, Joey is now at the helm and oversees the delivery of every event. Joey is passionate about providing top quality service and catering to match your event. He approaches each event with great dedication and enthusiasm.

Joey is a qualified, and award winning, Project Manager, trained Chef and a member of the Institute of Hospitality.

Head Chef – Luke Pickman

Our Head Chef, Luke, originally started his chef journey training at Chelmsford College in Hospitality and Catering Levels 1-3. From here he worked in various chef roles and also underwent a stage (an internship) with Michael Caines, one of the UK’s most acclaimed and celebrated chefs who is widely credited with bringing modern British cuisine to the world stage.

Luke’s primary focus when creating dishes is to keep them clean and simple, avoiding unnecessary overcomplications. He is passionate about using seasonal, local produce that is sustainably sourced and wants to inspire people with his dishes, by encouraging his customers to try new dishes that they probably would never have tried before.

Events Manager – Catherine Pond

Catherine has worked for us for over 5 years and is experienced working in all areas of the business. She started on our events team working her way up through the ranks to team leader.

In addition to her sales and marketing executive she is our stand in event manager until our events calendar picks up again. She possesses a can-do attitude, is extremely organised and experienced.

In her spare time, Catherine spends the majority of her time looking after our number one mascot, her little girl Maisie, and spending time with her sisters.

 

Our Front of House Team

Our front-of-house team consists of individuals with a diverse events and hospitality background who have an excellent understanding of what great customer service is. Every potential new recruit is put through a rigorous trial then induction to ensure they will provide only the best experience, for you and your guests, at your wedding or event.

Our Back of House Team

For your event, we select the best Chefs with a depth of experience who are motivated by a passion for food so you can be sure your event is in safe hands. The key to a successful event is in the preparation, and our team understands the importance of that so make sure your food is prepared to the high standards outlined in our dish specifications.
