Why go for something different?
Deciding on your wedding food can be a difficult decision, but once you have chosen your venue, catering is often the next item on your “To Do” list. Traditionally you had two choices, a sit-down meal or a finger buffet, but now there are a whole host of wedding catering packages on offer.
So why not opt for the traditional three-course sit-down meal? Firstly, you may have chosen a small venue making it difficult to seat all your guests in the dining room so a more informal option, such as our street food, may be better suited. Secondly, you may have a great outdoor space you want to utilise, so our barbecue catering might be more suited. Thirdly, you might view a sit-down meal as too time-consuming and you want your guests up and socialising and dancing. The list goes on, but, whatever the reason, Lovejoy Catering and Events can provide you with a wedding catering package tailored to your special day.
Street Food and Bowl Food
As wedding receptions continue to evolve, couples are often leaning towards a more casual feel, meaning our street food and bowl food options, which have been traditionally used for our corporate events, are becoming more and more popular. From snack sized fish and chips, mini halloumi and mushroom burgers to chilli con carne, there is something for even the most selective of tastes.
If you are looking for a casual, party-like atmosphere, this option would definitely suit you.

Barbecues
Barbecues are one of Joey’s, our Managing Director, favourite options (and he’s 90% veggie). Barbecues are very sociable and are a great way to let your guests continue to mingle and celebrate with you, whilst their meat, fish and vegetarian options are cooked right in front of them over a roaring barbecue. What a great experience! With a range of options to bespoke your wedding bbq catering, your guests can choose from a range of meats, types of fish and sides. We also offer a range of vegetarian options for your non-meat-eating guests.
If you choose Lovejoy Catering and Events as your barbecue caterers for your wedding food, as with all our catering packages, you will get all your crockery, cutlery, serving equipment, food service staff and linen tablecloths for the buffet tables.

Hog Roasts
Like barbeques, hog roasts create a much more relaxed atmosphere. They are not something your guests will have experienced regularly so are likely to be a talking point for your guests. If you choose a hog roast for your special day, there will be plenty of meat with a variety of sides and an option for your non-meat-eating guests.

Hot Fork Buffet
A hot fork buffet is the perfect balance between the formality of a three-course meal and a finger buffet. Fork buffets are a versatile option that can be enjoyed in a formal or casual manner. Fork buffets are a cost-effective way to cater for your event on a tight budget, or if your day doesn’t run as long as a traditional wedding. Our hot fork buffets feature fewer individual items than finger buffets but allow guests to mix and match their dishes, giving them more choices.

Afternoon Tea
A totally understated option, our afternoon tea is similar to a finger buffet but can be served to the table, with the savoury and sweet options displayed on afternoon tea stands in a decorative fashion. Afternoon tea will suit the young and old, and your guests with dietary requirements. Your afternoon tea is a little more elegant than a buffet and is one of the most unique catering options you can go for. Whilst we do have an extensive menu, we can bespoke our options to suit the theme of your day. .
